It’s more than just a ride — it’s a journey into the wild, designed for those who seek freedom, exploration, and the simple joys of a bike ride in pristine South African West Coast nature!

What's included in your WEST COAST GRAVEL BIKE TOUR?

  • Return Transfers from Cape Town International Airport. This includes luggage and bike transport.
  • Accommodation for 6 nights during the Tour.
  • All Daily Meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals begin from Lunch on arrival day until breakfast on departure day.
  • Drinks – teas, coffees, soft drinks, wines and local beers.
  • A planned riding route daily with guided by friendly Route Masters.
  • A dedicated support vehicle to carry luggage and provide fuelling along the route.
The Tour Rate does not include:

  • Bicycle hire. Guests can bring their own bikes or hire can be arranged at an additional cost.

13h30 Lunch Stop at Vensterklip just outside of Elands Bay at a 300-year-old Barn Restaurant.

07h30 Depart Elands Bay toward Clan William where 82km of pristine gravel riding into the Cederberg Mountains await. The roads start flat and straight but soon turn windy with some steep kickers, amazing fast flowing sections and some incredible views.
13h00 Arrival and Lunch at Yamu Beach Resturant on the shores of Clan William Dam in the Cederberg. An afternoon of relaxing in the magnificent resort.

07h30 Depart Clan William and head into the mountains on a 69km route that is a climbers paradise! The climb is in 2 parts with some amazing views. Don’t discount this day being short in KM as it makes up for it in elevation.
13h00 Arrival at Sanddriff and Lunch at Kromrivier restaurant, with a swim in the river.
15h00 Spectacular Activity walk to Truitjieskraal and relaxing.

07h30 Depart Sanddriff towards Kaleo. This will probably be the toughest day with some big climbs in the first 45km. From then on its flat and fast all the way to our next farm stay at Kaleo, home of the famous Tankwa Trek MTB Race Village.

07h30 Depart Kaleo on smooth gravel before we reach the winding back tar roads of Ceres. We will reach the most beautiful Bainskloof Pass. This 30km section is a hotspot for cyclists.
